I was here a while ago for a routine check-up. I actually had to come twice – the first time, I received a diagnosis that my eyes had deteriorated quite a lot. On this basis, I ordered new lenses – when they came, they were so strong that I could barely look through them. I went back to the practice for a new test, got a new (less severe) diagnosis and they refunded me for the incorrect lenses.
I’ve been wearing these new glasses ever since, but they never felt quite right.
I’ve just had another routine check-up with a different optometrist and it turns out the second diagnosis was also incorrect, this time by 0.25 diopter.
I will now have to pay out again to replace my lenses, as well as for sunglasses and contact lenses that I’ve bought in the meantime.
